Luk advises clients on a wide range of leveraged finance and general banking matters, as well as on corporate transactional work.

Luk’s practice focuses on acting for senior and mezzanine lenders and borrowers on acquisition financings and secured lending transactions. He also has experience acting for clients on complex cross-border refinancings.

Luk also advises on cross-border and domestic mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets and early stage company matters.

  • Advising a debt fund as senior lender on various mid-market lending and refinancing transactions
  • Advising a global engineering, repair and logistics company on a $240 million syndicated secured term loan and revolving credit facility and further advice in relation to a subsequent refinancing
  • Advising the shareholders of Arts Alliance Media, the  leading operational software solution provider to the cinema industry,  on their sale to Shandong Luxin-Rio Visual Technology of Qingdao, China 
  • Advising the borrower on its acquisition finance facility in relation to a UK travel agency business
  • Advising the sponsor on a £55,000,000 unitranche facility relating to the acquisition of a UK fintech company
  • Advising  a trade creditor on the $3,300,000,000 restructuring of the external debt of the International Bank of Azerbaijan 
  • Advising a global crop protection company on the total reorganisation of its international operations, including the buy-out of a longstanding European joint venture partner
  • Advising Microsaic Systems plc in connection with its £5.4 million institutional placing
  • Advising a tech start-up company ion its £4m Series A investment round
