All public officials who are members of a government body and are newly elected or appointed after July 1, 2025, are required by law to attend an Iowa Public Information Board-approved training on the open meetings and records laws codified in Iowa Code Chapters 21 and 22.
The Iowa Public Information Board has approved Dorsey & Whitney’s Des Moines office as a trainer of open meetings and records law pursuant to Iowa Code Section 21.12, and we are happy to offer this training to public officials across the state.

Training Details
The training presentation will take between one and two hours to complete and can be held in person or virtually.
