DENVER (Nov. 29, 2005) – The international law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP today announced that Kenneth G. Sam, a Dorsey partner in the corporate group, has relocated to Denver from the firm’s Seattle office. Sam joined Dorsey in 1999 and is returning to his hometown after 12 years in Seattle, where he was named a “Rising Star” by Washington Law & Politics magazine.
Sam brings expertise and experience to Dorsey’s Denver office in the areas of international corporate finance, IPOs, domestic and international M&A, venture and institutional financing, complex reorganizations, corporate governance, debt financing and general corporate matters. His clients range from small start-ups to large international public companies, and include: RAB Capital plc, a multi-billion dollar London-based fund; SK Telecom, Korea’s largest cell phone provider; Clearly Canadian Beverage, an international beverage company; Oncolytics Biotech; Forbes Medi-Tech; and The Neptune Society, the nation’s largest cremation service provider.
Mining and minerals clients include: Eldorado Gold, NovaGold Resources, Miramar Mining, First Quantum Minerals, and Alamos Gold. Sam also represents many Denver-based clients, including Gyphon Gold, Caption Colorado and developer Gerald Engle.
