Overview
Hannah assists providers and healthcare organizations with a variety of regulatory and transactional matters. Her areas of expertise include health care fraud and abuse, such as the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare and Medicaid participation, state and federal licensing, and HIPAA compliance. Hannah is also experienced in the development and implementation of healthcare compliance programs, ensuring that clients have the understanding and tools they need to recognize the value of and operationalize their compliance programs effectively. Additionally, Hannah works with individual practitioners looking to start their own practices, assisting them with navigating regulatory considerations, such as business formation, license requirements, scope of practice, and development of policies and procedures to ensure they have a comprehensive foundation to be successful.
Prior to law school, Hannah worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of inpatient settings, including an adult surgical/trauma unit and a neonatal intensive care unit. During law school, Hannah obtained both a Health Law Certificate and Health Care Compliance Certificate and was Editor-in-Chief of the Mitchell Hamline Law Journal of Public Policy and Practice. Her clinical background, combined with her legal expertise, enable her to provide sound, practical advice to clients that meets their business needs while also complying with rigorous regulatory requirements.
