MATT'S PRACTICE FOCUSES ON EMERGING BIOTECHNOLOGY AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES.
Matt's practice focuses on emerging chemical and biotechnology companies, especially in the West. He has prosecuted a variety of technologies both in the U.S. and abroad, including small and large molecule pharmaceuticals, solar panels, polymer films, and novel Fe-based alloys. He provides strategic patent counseling and preparation of both United States and international patent applications. Matt has extensive experience working with companies both small and large, as well as a variety of academic institutions both here and abroad.
Matt is a partner in the Dorsey patent group. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Utah School of Medicine, and a B.A. in Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. His graduate work was directed toward understanding protein regulation through biophysical studies of DNA:protein interaction. Matt has extensive post-doctoral experience in human genetics and mammalian transcription factor regulation, most recently in the Department of Endocrinology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He received his J.D. from The University of Denver College of Law.
