The Supreme Court of the United States granted certiorari in two cases yesterday:

Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump; Trump v. V.O.S. Selections, Inc., Nos. 24-1287, 25-250: These two cases will address tariffs on foreign imports imposed by President Trump through a series of executive orders invoking the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, 50 U.S.C. § 1701 et seq. (“IEEPA”). The questions presented are: (1) Whether IEEPA authorizes the President to impose tariffs, and (2) if IEEPA authorizes the tariffs, whether the statute unconstitutionally delegates legislative authority to the President.
