International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP is pleased to announce that Jeffrey R. Escobar has joined its Real Estate & Land Use Group as a partner in the Firm’s New York City office on March 16, 2020.
Mr. Escobar’s practice focuses on advising horizontal and vertical project owners, real estate companies, joint ventures, institutional owners, closely-held developers, lenders, investors, sponsors, project companies, private and public utility companies, and private equity funds in their structuring and deployment of capital and investment in their most complex and large-scale commercial real estate, energy, infrastructure, transportation, and renewable energy projects.
Applying a deep sense of practicality and business acumen, Mr. Escobar provides clients with key insight and in-depth knowledge into every stage of project and real estate development, construction and financing, and has experience leading a wide range of commercial real estate, development, energy, and infrastructure projects throughout the U.S. and the Americas, from the construction of a professional sports stadium and the only aerial commuter tramway system in the country in New York City to the development and construction of large luxury apartment communities in Los Angeles County and merchant gas energy facilities off the Gulf of Mexico.
Before joining Dorsey, Mr. Escobar was Senior Counsel with Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP in New York City. He received his law degree from the New England School of Law, and dual B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Washington. Mr. Escobar has been repeatedly recognized as a New York Metro Rising Star for Real Estate and Construction by Thomson Reuters and is a Recommended Lawyer for Finance - Project Finance by The Legal 500.
