Given the rise of anti-Asian racism in the midst of COVID-19, it is important to learn about the legal history of anti-Asian racism in the United States in order to understand the conditions that have enabled the rise of anti-Asian racism in our current moment. In this presentation, Dr. SooJin Pate helps us connect the dots between the past and present in order to help lawyers and legal staff better understand how anti-Asian racism impacts their legal community and how to show up as allies for their Asian American coworkers, clients and colleagues in the law firm, the court room, and the conference room -- as well as in the world-at-large -- in this moment. Dorsey’s own Cam Hoang will moderate this important discussion.
