Claine Snow

Claine is a registered patent attorney with over a decade of experience serving companies in the pharmaceutical, chemical, biotech, and life sciences space.

Claine’s work includes patentability analysis, competitive patent landscape analysis, patent drafting and prosecution, intellectual property strategy counseling, intellectual property process and policy development, and technology licensing and transactions.

While serving as Executive Counsel, Claine guided a company from a preclinical stage to clinical and finally as a commercial stage therapeutics company, growing the patent portfolio to over 500 patents and applications in dozens of jurisdictions around the world. He helped the company in all aspects of its intellectual property needs establishing policies and procedures that ensured inventions were secured. His experience in the company involved important transactional and diligence activities including several public offerings and collaborative licensing arrangements. 

Claine started his career at a prestigious intellectual property boutique firm, where he gained excellent training in patent prosecution and ANDA litigation.

He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Brigham Young University and his doctoral work involved a thermodynamic investigation of iron oxide nanopolymorphs and their relation to the iron mineral core of the biological storage protein ferritin. During this time, Claine became strongly interested in the use of protein scaffolds to direct the formation of inorganic nanomaterials, which led him to a postdoctoral position at the University of Colorado.
