Her deep expertise in healthcare fraud and abuse laws—including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, False Claims Act, and Civil Monetary Penalties Law—enables her to help clients navigate the intricate regulatory landscape governing healthcare operations and business arrangements. With comprehensive knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, Mara works closely with hospitals, health systems, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, digital health companies, PBMs, and other life sciences organizations to structure compliant business models, assess regulatory risk, and resolve enforcement matters. She provides practical, business-oriented counsel that allows healthcare organizations to achieve their strategic objectives while maintaining rigorous compliance with applicable legal requirements.
