Ashley creatively navigates complex litigation matters while providing corporate and individual clients with crucial insight into the legal process. She combines deep criminal law knowledge gained as a public defender with years of large law firm experience to achieve client goals in and out of the courtroom. Ashley advocates for the best possible result for her clients, whether that takes the form of favorable settlement negotiations, case dismissals, or wins at trial. As a strong client collaborator, Ashley understands that her clients need pragmatic guidance on their legal options, and she works diligently to ensure each client is empowered to make informed decisions.
Ashley’s areas of expertise include professional review board defense actions (Medical, Nursing, EMS), criminal defense and commercial litigation crossover matters (including fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, misrepresentation, harassment), sexual abuse cases (church and healthcare contexts), trademark infringement, Indian Law/Alaska Native Corporations, and PREP Act malpractice defense.
Prior to joining Dorsey, Ashley tried more than a dozen cases to verdict, including cases involving life without parole.

- Successfully recovered a stolen replica championship ring for memorabilia manufacturer suing an auction house for attempting to sell the ring as the authentic model. Leveraged investigation and criminal defense experience to decipher coded text messages obtained in discovery that revealed the ring had been stolen by an internationally known and convicted drug smuggler.
- Secured monetary settlement in favor of a large agricultural co-op at mediation despite initially facing a lawsuit where the co-op was sued for millions of dollars.
- Secured the dismissal of a complaint against a physician before the Board of Medical Practice.
- Secured the dismissal of a complaint against a certified nurse anesthetist before the Board of Nursing.
- Secured dismissal of claims against corporate client of breach of fiduciary duty and negligent misrepresentation.
- Won quiet title action to disputed property on behalf of an Alaska Native Corporation.
- Won a Motion for Judgment on the Administrative Record on behalf of a corporate client in a benefits lawsuit.
- Secured dismissal of a complaint against a Paramedic before the EMS Review Board.
