Overview

Evan counsels clients on complex construction projects.

Evan is an experienced advocate and advisor representing clients in the construction industry. Evan litigates construction defect, delay, and contract disputes in federal and state court and in arbitration proceedings. He also regularly counsels clients on construction contract drafting and negotiation, licensing requirements, government contracting, performance and payment bond claims, and insurance issues. Evan has worked with clients throughout the construction industry, including private and public owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals.

  • Represented Denver Regional Transportation District in defendant against claims brought by private partner regarding responsibility for delays and costs in large-scale commuter-rail project.
  • Represents automobile manufacturers before federal and state courts and administrative bodies in dealer and market-representation matters.
  • Litigated complex insurance coverage matter, involving a dispute between primary and excess insurers, through trial and appeal, obtaining a favorable result for the client.
  • Representing hospital owner in dispute with former construction manager over project delays and increased costs.
