WILL EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY HELPS CLIENTS NAVIGATE ALL ASPECTS OF COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS. HE ENJOYS PARTNERING WITH HIS CLIENTS TO UNDERSTAND THEIR GOALS, FIND SOLUTIONS, AND DELIVER RESULTS.

Will specializes in real estate, with a specific focus on two primary areas: (1) the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties, and (2) complex lease negotiations. In this first area, Will helps clients buy and sell every type of property, from office towers to manufacturing facilities, and everything in between. Will also helps real estate developers navigate every phase of the land development process, from site acquisition and entitlements through leasing and eventual sale. In his leasing practice, Will regularly negotiates lease on behalf of both landlords and tenants, for spaces large and small. Will is an expert in the leasing of commercial office space and medical offices.

In addition to Will's two primary areas of focus, he has significant experience in real estate finance transactions, renewable energy projects, construction and design contracts, and land use matters.

  • Serve as lead real estate counsel to a national healthcare company in connection with the leasing of general office and medical office space across the country.
  • Represent an international manufacturing company in the acquisition and disposition real estate having an aggregate value of $100M+.
  • Represent clients in the negotiation of multiple high-profile office leases in Manhattan, including World Trade Center and Rockefeller Plaza locations.
  • Ongoing representation of a Twin Cities-based office landlord in connection with the leasing of a 300,000+ square foot office park.
  • Advise a national real estate developer on the acquisition, development, and sale of commercial and mixed-use properties across multiple states.
  • Serve as lead real estate counsel to a renewable energy company developing a large-scale solar panel manufacturing facility, including site acquisition and development.
  • Represent a publicly traded energy company in the sale of dozens of retail and fuel station sites nationwide, involving complex environmental diligence.
  • Provide strategic real estate counsel to a municipalities in connection with both complex public financing transactions and the the acquisition of land for public-private development.
  • Support attorneys across the firm—including in M&A, healthcare, and private client matters—by leading the real estate components of corporate transactions and legacy asset dispositions.
  • Assist an institutional lender in the negotiation and closing of secured loan transactions for commercial real estate borrowers.
