Representative Experience

  • Draft tailored estate plan for client designed to minimize transfer taxes upon death.
  • Counsel business owner on the structure of qualified small business to ensure exclusion of significant capital gains upon his sale of stock.
  • Develop internal compliance procedures for corporate fiduciary in relation to trust administration and anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Advise client regarding the toggling on and off of grantor trust status of trusts.
  • Represent corporate fiduciary in resolution of controversy concerning generation-skipping transfer tax inclusion ratio of trusts.
  • Advise business owner on the structure of closely held businesses to ensure eligibility for deferral of federal estate tax payment upon her death.
  • Collaborate with family office to implement sophisticated estate planning strategies, such as grantor retained annuity trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and charitable remainder unitrusts.
  • Counsel real estate developer on the completion of a like-kind exchange in relation to a real estate transaction. 
  • Represent fiduciary in termination of charitable trust.
