Partner Anthony P. Badaracco and Associate Kristina Maude authored an article in the European Competition Law Review examining new state-level premerger notification requirements. Washington and Colorado recently enacted laws requiring entities to submit premerger filings at the state-level in addition to federal notifications. Modeled on the Uniform Law Commission's Uniform Antitrust Pre-Merger Notification Act ("Uniform Act"), these laws introduce additional compliance for merging parties. The article outlines the implications of these developments and provides guidance on navigating the new requirements.
