International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Scott M. Desmond has rejoined the Firm as a partner in the Technology Commerce Practice of the Corporate Group in Dorsey’s New York office. Mr. Desmond represents domestic and multinational companies in a wide range of corporate, financing and commercial transactions, including banking and commercial work, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, project development and finance, technology commerce, venture capital and emerging companies, as well as technology, Internet and eCommerce matters. He has extensive experience in asset-based and other secured financings, representation of suppliers in vendor financing for procurements, representation of Japanese companies in joint venture and technology licensing matters, private equity and representation of strategic and financial investors in development-stage technology companies, among other things.

Mr. Desmond, who was an associate and partner at Dorsey from 1988 to 2006, was most recently a partner and of counsel at Greenberg Traurig LLP in that Firm’s New York office. He received a JD degree from the Georgetown University Law Center and an AB degree from Dartmouth College.
