International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP is proud to announce that Elizabeth Rozon Baksh has been selected for the 2014 Fellows Program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), a national organization made up of the legal profession’s top general counsel and managing partners. Dorsey & Whitney has been a Member of LCLD since 2011.

Ms. Baksh is an associate in Dorsey’s Trial Group in the Firm’s New York office. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation as well as white-collar litigation, with a particular emphasis on complex business disputes in the field of banking. She also practices in the area of employment law.

Ms. Baksh received her B.A. degree from New York University and her J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law.

“We are honored that Elizabeth has been selected a 2014 LCLD Fellow,” noted Ken Cutler, Managing Partner of Dorsey & Whitney. “She is a remarkably talented lawyer, and this will be an amazing opportunity for her to build relationships and sharpen stewardship and leadership skills.”

Ms. Rozon Baksh joins a class of more than 170 attorneys from around the country who have been selected as LCLD Fellows for 2014—the largest class in the program’s history.

With 215 members, LCLD is a national organization made up of the general counsel and managing partners of the leading corporations and law firms in the country. The Fellows initiative is one of several launched by LCLD since the organization’s founding in 2009. Other programs include a national mentoring initiative serving more than 2,000 mentors and mentees, a 1L Scholars program involving more than 200 first-year law students, and special programming for members through CLE presentations and other platforms.

“Our Fellows program is a unique learning experience designed to empower a new generation of lawyers,” said Brad Smith, LCLD Chair and Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Microsoft Corporation. “These talented individuals have been singled out for leadership by their organizations, and represent a broad spectrum of backgrounds that are as diverse as the country they serve.”
