International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that E. Eric Rytter, a partner in the Firm’s New York office has been named Vice-Chair of the Private Equity & Alternative Investments Committee of the ABA Section of International Law.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Rytter said, “This newly-formed Committee focuses on issues facing international lawyers who form and represent private equity funds and other alternative investment vehicles, including venture capital funds, hedge funds and hybrids. As more private equity and venture capital activities have international or cross-border elements, lawyers, regulators and legislators in many countries are finding it necessary to be knowledgeable about the international aspects of these transactions. The Committee provides a forum for examining these issues from all perspectives (including practical and comparative), on a country-specific, regional and global basis, and a forum for exchanging views and information, current and emerging issues and trends impacting private equity and venture capital funds and other alternative investment vehicles and their portfolio companies and investors. I am very pleased to be serving on the Committee in a leadership role.”
