Dorsey was honored to deliver a lecture to Bank of China’s senior legal personnel last month as part of BOC’s Litigation Management Program. The Program was a four-day intensive training covering a wide range of topics, including cross-border litigation, held at BOC’s world-class financial corporate university in Shanghai.
Dorsey Partners Lanier Saperstein and Ray Liu, assisted by Law Clerk Helen Jiang, delivered a lecture on cross-border litigation to the participants. The training was a great success and it further strengthened the firm’s long-standing relationship with BOC.
Lanier Saperstein has been called “one of the foremost experts in the world on international banking” by a top industry publication and a “China specialist” by the National Law Journal. He is Co-Chair of Dorsey’s U.S.-China Practice Group, where he leads a global team of bilingual, U.S.-trained, U.S.-qualified litigators, and is an adjunct professor at Fordham University School of Law, where he teaches a class on banking regulation and enforcement. Ray Liu is the Managing Partner of the firm’s Beijing office. Before joining Dorsey, Ray worked in New York in the legal department of a major Chinese bank. Helen Jiang is a recent graduate of Harvard Law School and received her Chinese law degree from Peking University School of Law.
