For virtually all employers, managing employee attendance is challenging. To help simplify rules and create positive incentives, many employers adopt attendance policies and practices such as the following:
- Bonuses designed to incentivize punctuality and regular attendance
- “No-fault” attendance policies designed to avoid requiring employees to explain every missed workday
- “Automatic termination” policies allowing immediate discharge of employees who exceed threshold amounts of workplace leave
While such measures have their benefits, they pose serious legal risks. This Webinar will review all of the foregoing practices - and more - to provide needed guidance to employers.
