Overview

Brad is a trusted advisor on transformative real estate and business transactions, uniting cross border strategy, incentives, and stakeholder engagement to deliver durable outcomes for growth stage and global enterprises.

Brad is a seasoned attorney and trusted advisor serving as a Partner at Dorsey & Whitney LLP in Phoenix, Arizona, where he also serves as Global Co-Leader of the Firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. He specializes in guiding companies—large and small—through complex business transactions using both his legal acumen and the relationships he has created by investing over 30 years volunteering his time on important community initiatives.

Brad has extensive experience representing Taiwanese and other Asia-Pacific (APAC) companies in establishing and expanding their facilities, operations, and workforce in Arizona and across the United States. Leveraging his deep expertise in economic development, real estate development, and policy, he helps international clients navigate regulatory, site selection, incentive, and community integration challenges to successfully locate manufacturing plants, mixed-use projects, and employee communities in the region.

His career spans roles as in-house general counsel and private practice attorney, where he has driven high-stakes initiatives—including real estate developments, infrastructure projects, and crisis management—to successful outcomes. Brad’s leadership in economic development is evidenced by his service on the Executive Board of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), a key organization focused on attracting and supporting foreign direct investment, including major APAC-based projects in advanced manufacturing and technology sectors. Brad was also on the team that founded the Greater Maricopa Foreign Trade Zone in Western Maricopa County, Arizona.

Brad was a two-term Governor’s appointee and past Chairman of the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority, Chairman of the Arizona Organizing Committee for the 2016 College Football Playoff Championship Game, and board member of the Phoenix Local Organizing Committee for the 2017 NCAA Final Four. He has been appointed by multiple Governors to various boards and commissions in Arizona. He has also served on boards of various for-profit and nonprofit organizations in paid and unpaid capacities.

Brad received his J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri, and his B.S. in Accounting from Illinois State University. Brad combines legal acumen, strategic relationships, and proven leadership to deliver results for clients pursuing growth in Arizona and the U.S.
