Overview

Alexis represents national clients in complex commercial real estate transactions, with a focus on large-scale residential, mixed-use, and multi-asset development projects.

Alexis represents clients in acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, contract drafting and negotiation, entity structuring, title and due diligence review, and real estate investment transactions. She brings a meticulous approach to every matter while remaining focused on efficiency, risk management, and practical business outcomes.

She has structured co-investment arrangements that drive capital deployment into housing subdivisions nationwide and has represented both landlords and tenants in multi-state commercial leasing transactions involving office, retail, industrial, and specialty-use properties, including cannabis dispensaries.

Her practice is centered on delivering strategic, business-minded legal counsel to investors, developers, land bankers, corporations, and individuals navigating complex real estate matters.

Known for her responsiveness and detail-oriented counsel, Alexis works closely with clients to structure transactions that align with both immediate objectives and long-term investment strategies. Her experience spans a variety of asset classes and ownership structures, allowing her to provide tailored legal guidance in fast-moving and high-value transactions.

Representative Work

  • Represented a large national retailer in the acquisition of a 1.2 million square foot warehouse for $140+ million in Arizona. Lead negotiation on purchase agreement and all ancillary documents including CC&R’s and billboard leases. Reviewed and presented title and other due diligence concerns to client. *
  • Advised a real estate investment company in the formation of a partnership with a credit-focused asset manager for an $800+ million credit facility to invest in new housing developments across growing markets.*
  • Represented life insurance company lender in negotiating and closing commercial real estate and multi-family backed loans of all sizes.* 
  • Drafted and negotiated dispensary leases on behalf of a government entity in New York and subsequently assigning such leases to the recipients of the Conditional Adult-Use Retail Dispensary (CAURD) license from the State Office of Cannabis Management.*
  • Represented a land developer in review of association agreements related to a large mixed-use development in Puerto Rico.*
  • Represented company acquiring a run-down hotel property in Paradise Valley out of foreclosure.*
  • Represented the owner of low-income housing complexes with all tax credit, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and limited partnership restructuring across the US. *
  • Represented a land banker for acquisitions and several forms of dispositions, including option agreements, bulk sales, and buy backs with top-rated home builders across the US, dealing with international tenant-in-common investor interests. *
  • Represented a private university on a “swap” of college campuses with the satellite campus of a large state university. *
  • Completed real estate due diligence for a US$328 million stock purchase of a vehicle manufacturer company. *
  • Represented landlords and tenants in drafting lease agreements for dispensaries in Arizona and Florida, as well as drafted purchase agreements for medical marijuana companies looking to purchase property for dispensaries in Arizona and California. *
  • Represented lenders drafting and negotiating construction loans. *
  • Represented a local credit union in selling its portfolio of property and in the enforcement of its mortgages. *
  • Represented a solar company in drafting lease and easement agreements as it related to their work in renting open land to install solar panels in Arizona. *
  • Represented both landlords and tenants in drafting and reviewing retail leases all across the US. *
