Overview
Stephen focuses his practice on estate planning and wealth transfer for high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held business owners. His work ranges from foundational estate planning to the design and implementation of sophisticated structures, with the goal of minimizing transfer taxes and supporting business succession.
Stephen also advises clients on international estate and tax planning, including families with assets, beneficiaries, or tax exposure outside the United States. He counsels U.S. and non-U.S. clients on the gift, estate, and income tax consequences of cross-border transfers and on the use of trust structures and tax treaties to achieve their planning goals.
