MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 16, 2005) — The international law firm of Dorsey & Whitney LLP today announced that nine partners at the firm have been named in Who’s Who Legal 2006 – Corporate Governance and The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers. Among the most respected guides to legal excellence, Who’s Who selects preeminent attorneys based on surveys and interviews with attorneys, plus input from legal and financial media and corporate counsel.
Recognized in Who’s Who Legal 2006 – Corporate Governance were five attorneys from two Dorsey offices: In Minneapolis, Robert Rosenbaum, Jay Swanson, Bryn Vaaler, and Gary Tygesson made the list, while John Manning, a partner in the firm’s Great Falls, Mont., office was also included.
Eleven more Dorsey attorneys earned spots in Who's Who publications. In Dorsey’s Seattle office, Gary Duvall won praise for his work in international franchise law and Paul Meikeljohn for his trademark practice. William Prince, in the Salt Lake City office, made the list for helping clients with international environment and mining issues. In Minneapolis, Elizabeth Buckingham was included for her work in trademarks; Sarah Andrews Herman, Robert Hobbins and Robert Reinhart for labor and employment law; Andrew Brown for environmental law; and Jay Cook for his real estate work. From Anchorage, James Reeves was also recognized for international environment work. And in Dorsey’s Denver office, Tucker Trautman earned a spot for international commercial litigation.
“This kind of recognition indicates the high esteem in which these attorneys are held by their peers and by the business community,” said Peter Hendrixson, Dorsey’s managing partner. “These talented lawyers consistently exceed their clients' expectations. That’s the kind of service that we all strive for at Dorsey."
