Salt Lake City, Utah, (February 16, 2004) – The international law firm of Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Steven Marsden has joined the firm as a partner in the Salt Lake City office. Marsden will practice in the Trial group and assist business clients with general commercial litigation including securities, broker-dealer matters and intellectual property cases.
Dorsey’s growing Salt Lake City office already has a strong group of attorneys focused on corporate work: mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, public offerings, securities law compliance and more. Marsden will complement this group, adding his litigation skills to the mix.
“Steve has more than seventeen years of commercial litigation experience, including some very complex cases for well-known clients,” said William Prince, the head of Dorsey’s Salt Lake City office. “With Steve on board, our team in Salt Lake can offer a broader complement of services to our clients.”
Marsden joins Dorsey after 11 years with Bendinger, Crockett, Peterson & Casey, where he worked on commercial litigation involving antitrust, employment law and securities. Prior to that, Marsden worked for Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering, a prestigious firm in Washington, D.C.
Marsden earned his law degree from the University of Utah College of Law. He also earned an M.A. and a B.A. from the University of Utah.
