International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP ranked #5 among all law firms for the number of U.S. merger and acquisition (M&A) deals completed in 2014, according to Thomson Reuters, a leading provider of financial information and services. Dorsey completed 140 U.S. M&A transactions in 2014 valued at more than $11 billion. This is the 21st consecutive year that Dorsey has ranked in the top 10 among all law firms for the number of U.S. M&A deals completed.

According to Thomson Reuters, in 2014, Dorsey ranked #6 for the number of announced Mid-Market M&A deals (values up to $500 million) with a U.S. target and #4 for the number of announced Small-Cap M&A deals (values up to $50 million) with a U.S. target.

Dorsey also excelled in M&A work globally, with a #17 ranking for the number of deals completed worldwide. The firm completed 175 M&A deals on a worldwide basis valued at more than $15.4 billion. Dorsey ranked #15 for the number of announced Mid-Market M&A deals worldwide and #7 for the number of announced Small-Cap deals worldwide.
