Partner and Shanghai Office Head Karen Yiqin Fan was recognized by China Business Law Journal’s 2023 Rising Stars awards, honoring China’s up-and-coming legal achievers. The award featured 100 elite lawyers under the age of 40 with exceptional performance in the Greater China legal market, with Karen ranked as one of only 20 lawyers from international law firms.
“[Karen] is client-minded, responsive and adaptive, always well up to formulating and structuring the highly complicated deal in an extremely limited timeframe, and delivering very pragmatic and sophisticated solutions,” said General Legal Counsel of Coca-Cola Greater China & Mongolia, Su Yan, to China Business Law Journal.
Karen has led a number of challenging and influential cross-border M&A transactions in recent years, including Coca-Cola’s complex restructuring of a joint venture of still beverages business in China; Guangzhou R&F Properties in sale of Guangzhou International Airport R&F Integrated Logistics Park to The Blackstone Group; and Fosun Healthcare in the acquisition of a portfolio of healthcare-related properties in the US.
