International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that it has named Intellectual Property Partner Jennifer Lane Spaith as head of the Firm’s Seattle office effective April 8, 2019.
Ms. Spaith will replace Seattle Office Head and Intellectual Property Litigation Partner Michael Keyes. “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time as Office Head, but look forward to focusing on my role on the Firm’s Management Committee. It has been an honor and a pleasure leading such a talented group of attorneys and staff in Seattle. I’m excited about where we are headed and I know Jennifer will do a terrific job in this role.”
Ms. Spaith’s practice is focused primarily on representing companies of all sizes in patent prosecution and portfolio management. She routinely works with a wide array of technologies ranging from electronics to artificial intelligence and other complex software systems to digital health and biosensor systems and clean or renewable energy technologies. In addition to maintaining a patent procurement practice, Ms. Spaith frequently advises clients on transactional matters involving technology and intellectual property.
“I am pleased to have Jennifer as Head of our Seattle office,” noted Dorsey Managing Partner Bill Stoeri. “She is a very talented lawyer who understands the Dorsey culture and its client service mission. I am confident that Jennifer will provide excellent leadership going forward.”
“I am delighted to be assuming this leadership role,” said Ms. Spaith. “Dorsey has a rich history in Seattle, and I look forward to our continued growth in Seattle’s vibrant legal and business community. I am honored to be working with our great Seattle team in providing excellent service to our valued clients and continuing to leverage the Firm’s international platform to the benefit of our clients in the Pacific Northwest and around the globe.”
