International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP continues to build its California presence in Costa Mesa. The Firm recently added three attorneys to its Labor & Employment and Trial Groups.

Pavlina Kochankovska Rafter
Ms. Rafter supports clients by advising on a wide variety of labor and employment issues, including employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation and wrongful discharge claims. She is skilled at dispute resolution, consistently achieving her client’s goals.

Where litigation cannot be avoided, she has successfully represented clients at all phases, from inception of lawsuit through settlement, including trial proceedings, appellate practice and arbitration. Ms. Rafter’s thorough approach has contributed to a history of dismissals at early stages of litigation.

Robert Andrew Schultz
Mr. Schultz is an associate in the Trial Group who represents individuals and businesses at every stage of the litigation process, combining big-picture thinking with attention to detail to obtain favorable results. His practice focuses on complex litigation, international arbitration, and appellate cases. He is particularly experienced in pre-trial motion practice and large-scale discovery.

Paul I. Sung
Mr. Sung is an associate in Dorsey’s Trial Group and he has represented individuals and businesses in all stages of litigation. Mr. Sung engages in a number of practice areas ranging from sophisticated commercial disputes to labor and employment litigation, and has additionally represented clients in various arbitration matters across several industries.

Prior to joining Dorsey, he was a judicial extern of the United States District Court for the Central District of California and a legal intern of the Albemarle County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Mr. Sung is actively involved in pro bono work, volunteering at various legal clinics in Orange County, and is also a member of Dorsey’s Diversity Committee in the Southern California office.
