International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Jeffrey M. Bauer has joined the Firm’s Minneapolis office as a Partner in the Benefits & Compensation Group. Mr. Bauer’s practice focuses on advising employers and fiduciaries on the federal laws governing tax-qualified retirement plans and executive compensation. Mr. Bauer joins Dorsey from the Gray Plant Mooty law firm in Minneapolis, where he was a principal in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group.

Mr. Bauer has a J.D. degree from Stetson University College of Law and an LL.M. in Taxation degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He is also a certified public accountant (licensed in Florida) and brings an understanding of the financial accounting aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation to his law practice. He is a member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, among other professional groups.
