International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Elizabeth Rozon Baksh, an associate in the Firm’s Trial Group, has been named to Lawyers of Color’s Second Annual Hot List. She is one of 100 early- to mid-career minority attorneys under 40 from the Eastern Region to be chosen for this recognition.

Ms. Baksh’s practice focuses on commercial litigation as well as white-collar litigation, with a particular emphasis on complex business disputes in the field of banking. She also practices in the area of employment law.

“We are pleased that Elizabeth has been named to the Lawyers of Color’s Second Annual Hot List,” noted Ken Cutler, Managing Partner of Dorsey & Whitney. “She is an extremely talented lawyer and we are very proud of her achievements and of this recognition.”
Honorees will be recognized at a reception in New York City and will be profiled in the Hot List Issue (July 2014).

The honorees were chosen through a two-part process. The selection committee spent months reviewing nominations and researching bar publications and legal blogs in order to identify promising candidates. Nominations were accepted from mentors, peers, and colleagues. Editorial picks were also made based on research of attorneys who had noteworthy accomplishments or were active in legal pipeline initiatives.
