Steve Dickinson, an attorney in Dorsey’s Des Moines office, was among a group of political and business leaders who recently conducted a trade mission to Cuba. Led by Iowa Congressman Leonard Boswell and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Patty Judge, the visit focused on agricultural trade with Cuba under exceptions to the embargo. The delegation met with Cuban government officials and businesspeople, including President Fidel Castro. The five-day mission garnered international press coverage and laid the groundwork for future cooperation between the U.S. and Cuba.
