Dorsey partner, and partner in the firms Intellectual Property Litigation Group, Bruce R. Ewing will present a seminar on a new trademark statute, which is likely to lead to substantial changes in the law of dilution in the United States. The Trademark Dilution Revision Act of 2006 will take effect upon the signature of the President and will replace the current version of Section 43(c) of the Lanham Act. When the new statute takes effect, it will be potentially applicable to all pending and future trademark cases filed in the U.S.

Mr. Ewing assisted in drafting the proposals that ultimately resulted in the new statute and will offer unique insights into the intended scope of the law, its legislative history and what every trademark lawyer needs to know about revised section 43(c).
