The international law firm of Dorsey & Whitney LLP today announced that Evan L. Schwab has been appointed Washington State Chair for the American College of Trial Lawyers. A partner in the firm’s trial group and co-chair of Dorsey’s Professional Malpractice group, Evan Schwab is a highly regarded litigator with more than 41 years of legal experience. He was inducted as a Fellow of the College in 1983.
One of the premier legal associations in the U.S. and Canada, the American College of Trial Lawyers includes attorneys who have a minimum of fifteen years’ trial experience and whose careers demonstrate the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism. Membership in the College cannot exceed one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. As State Chair, Evan Schwab will be in charge of the College’s activities in Washington, including the identification and investigation of potential members in his area.
“Evan Schwab’s appointment indicates the high esteem in which Evan is held by his peers,” said Bryce Holland, head of Dorsey’s Seattle office. “His clients, his colleagues, even his opponents in the courtroom – all would agree that Evan has distinguished himself as a litigator. And he’ll provide excellent leadership as Chair of the American College of Trial Lawyers in the state of Washington.”
