International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP is pleased to announce that Edward Davis has joined the Firm’s Merger & Acquisitions practice group as a Partner in New York.

Mr. Davis is a respected corporate and securities partner whose practice is focused on representing financial institutions, investment funds, asset managers, insurers, finance companies and other clients in negotiating and structuring complex commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and reorganizations. He also frequently represents clients in connection with private financings and investments (including venture capital, FinTech and InsurTech investments, private equity investments and mezzanine financings) and private and public offerings of equity securities.

His more than 20 years of experience covers a broad range of industries, including financial services, insurance, healthcare, life sciences, technology, industrial products and services, real estate, consumer retail, entertainment, telecommunications and for-profit education. He has orchestrated transactions ranging in size and scope from leveraged buyouts of public, multi-national targets worth billions of dollars to venture capital and technology investments in start-up and emerging companies.

Mr. Davis joins Dorsey from Brown Rudnick where he was a partner in that firm’s corporate practice. He has a B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a J.D. degree from the American University Washington College of Law.
