International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP is pleased to announce that Geoffrey M. Godfrey has joined its Seattle office as a partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation Group.

Mr. Godfrey’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and strategic counseling, with an emphasis on patent matters. He has represented innovative technology companies across a range of industries in trial, appellate and patent office proceedings.

Mr. Godfrey joins Dorsey from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, where he was Counsel in the Litigation/Controversy Department and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. Before joining WilmerHale, Mr. Godfrey was a partner at Howrey LLP and an associate at Day Casebeer Madrid & Batchelder LLP.

Mr. Godfrey earned his JD from Stanford Law School in 2003 and his BA and BMus from the University of Victoria in 2000, graduating first in his class. He is admitted to practice in Washington, California, and the District of Columbia.
