MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 22, 2006) – The global law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Melissa Krasnow has joined the firm’s Minneapolis office as a partner in the Corporate group.  Krasnow will focus on general corporate and securities law governance and compliance, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial matters.

Formerly a partner at Schiff Hardin LLP, Krasnow has experience in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.  She also has experience as corporate governance counsel for domestic and foreign companies, including Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance and 1934 Act filings.

Krasnow, a native of Minnesota, received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, and her A.B. in Chinese Studies and Political Science from Wellesley College.
