The Computer and Technology Section Council will meet at 11:30 AM, follow by lunch and the CLE at noon.  Lunch will be provided.

An organization's security posture is only as good as its weakest link.  Unfortunately, that weakest link is usually a vendor with inadequate security controls.  Effective third party information security management programs enable organizations to identify key risks and security control gaps and to quickly deploy mechanisms for risk mitigation.   This session will present a high-level overview of what a comprehensive third party information security management program should entail and dive deep into a few practical aspects to equip attendees with the fundamental understanding necessary to be comfortable with vendor management and, as a bonus, streamline contract negotiations on data protection provisions.
