Darren Roman

Darren has extensive experience in helping banks, private lenders, brokers, developers, structure and document complex loan transactions. Darren takes a solutions-based approach to each transaction.

Darren provides strategic legal advice and counseling to lenders in all types of personal and real property secured financing transactions, SBA loans, regulatory issues, swap transactions, and loans to Indian Tribes, among others. 

Darren’s previous experience as in-house counsel for a large international bank contributes to his extensive knowledge of the financial industry and ability to work efficiently with in-house legal teams, bankers and credit officers. He advises financial institutions on commercial loan origination, loan servicing, bank regulation and compliance matters, assists clients in loan portfolio sales and servicing agreements, and represents lenders and borrowers in real estate financing transactions including the negotiation and documentation of acquisition and development loans, construction financing, and term debt. 

Darren also advises on commercial real estate transactions with an emphasis on acquisitions, dispositions and commercial leasing, and handles real estate due diligence including title and survey review. Additionally, he represents lenders and start up technology companies in debt and equity financing transactions.
