Overview

Kate advises lenders at all stages of financing transactions.

Kate represents a broad array of clients including some of the largest international financial institutions, life companies, and regional and specialty debt funds. 

She helps clients navigate every step of the financing process from term sheet negotiations and loan documentation through closing and continues to provide advice and guidance during the life of the loan. 

In addition to loan origination transactions, Kate has considerable transactional workout experience. Clients turn to her for strategic advice regarding faltering and troubled assets and debt restructuring.

Her recent experience includes construction financing for virtually all asset types, homebuilder acquisition and development loans, health care real estate, dealer finance, financed ground leases, bridge and mezzanine loans, EB-5 debt, forbearance arrangements, and "deed-in-lieu" transactions.

Kate brings a deep interest in the business objectives and strategic vision of her clients, as well as extensive knowledge of both the real estate and construction industries.

  • Represented construction lender on $40 million construction loan, secured by GPLET real property and improvements in Arizona.
  • Represented lead agent in the pre- and post-bankruptcy restructuring of $200 million-plus syndicated real estate loan, secured by real property in Nevada and Minnesota.
  • Represented national bank in connection with the disposition of over 60 bank-owned properties across the U.S.
  • Represented developer in structuring financing arrangements for state-of-the-art urban living, mixed-use development.
  • Represented regional REITs and debt funds, handling over $100 million in bridge loan transactions each year.
