MINNEAPOLIS (March 2, 2009) – International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP is pleased to announce that George G. Eck, a partner in Minneapolis trial group, has been admitted to the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL).

Fellowship in the ACTL is extended by invitation only to “experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.” Membership cannot exceed one percent of the total lawyer population of any state.

Eck practices in the area of complex civil litigation including commercial litigation; environmental litigation; civil tort litigation, including the handling of significant products liability, wrongful death and toxic tort litigation (including aviation wrongful death actions); employment litigation; insurance coverage litigation; and other civil actions. He has obtained arbitration awards in excess of $35 million for clients and has tried over 50 civil actions to full jury verdict.

Eck is listed in Who’s Who in American Law, he is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been selected as a Minnesota “Super Lawyer” for seven consecutive years.
