As election day nears, Twin Cities Public Television’s weekly Almanac program turned to Dorsey Associate Andy Brehm for insights on several political races in Minnesota.

A former press secretary for Senator Norm Coleman (who is running for reelection to the U.S. Senate against Democrat Al Franken and Independent Dean Barkley), Mr. Brehm is a frequent guest on the show, which features news, commentary and discussion with newsmakers in politics, business and the arts.  Also on the panel were former Minnesota State Senators Fritz Knaak and Ember Reichgott Junge, and former Minnesota Attorney General Mike Hatch.

On October 7, 2008, a commentary by Mr. Brehm appeared in the Minneapolis Star Tribune.  In his essay "Electoral College Serves Us Well," Mr. Brehm argued the electoral college "forces candidates to appeal to a variety of people across the country, including political minorities. The alternative would concentrate power in the biggest cities."
