MINNEAPOLIS, MN (February 3, 2005) - Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Jamie Nafziger will lead the firm's Trademark, Copyright and Brand Management group in Minneapolis. Nafziger replaces Elizabeth Buckingham, who was previously the chair of both the Minneapolis and National Trademark groups. Buckingham will continue her leadership of Dorsey's Trademark group firm wide. Nafziger will lead a talented group of practitioners in Minneapolis who manage and protect complex trademark and copyright portfolios for leading companies in the financial services, airline, media and entertainment, food, life sciences, technology and many other industries.

Nafziger joined Dorsey as an associate in 1997.  Her practice is focused on trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and e-commerce law, including acquisition and enforcement of U.S. and international rights in trademarks, domain names and copyrights and negotiation and drafting of a variety of licensing, co-branding and e-commerce agreements.  She also assists in the intellectual property aspects of due diligence reviews for corporate deals and financings.  Nafziger earned her B.A. at Stanford University in 1991 and received her J.D. from University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where she received the Prosser Prize in the area of Copyright and Unfair Competition.
