Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced that Partner Andrew Stone has been recognized as part of a trial team receiving the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Director’s Award for Excellence for their work on the criminal investigation and prosecution of Backpage.com.
Andy is honored in the category of Outstanding Criminal Investigation and will be presented with the award during the FBI’s 33rd Annual Director’s Awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, March 10.
The FBI Director’s Awards for Excellence recognize FBI personnel and law enforcement partners whose work demonstrates extraordinary performance in protecting the public and upholding the Constitution. The awards are among the highest honors the FBI bestows on its employees and partners.
Prior to joining Dorsey, Andy served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, where he was part of the trial team responsible for the investigation and prosecution of Backpage.com and worked closely with federal investigative agencies. His work on the case was recognized as part of the FBI’s Outstanding Criminal Investigation award.
