Dorsey Partner Nicole Engisch has been named to Twin Cities Business as a 2025 Notable Partner in Law, an honor that highlights distinguished attorneys for their leadership, strategic insight, and dedication to mentorship and client service.
With more than 30 years of legal experience, Nicole advises and represents clients in government enforcement actions, internal investigations, corporate compliance, white-collar crime, and complex civil litigation. She has investigated and prosecuted some of Minnesota’s most prominent corporate fraud and bankruptcy fraud cases, including the state’s largest bankruptcy fraud case and one of the District of Minnesota’s largest corporate fraud cases. Her work led to convictions of the corporate defendant and six officers.
Nicole has served in key leadership roles at Dorsey, currently as Co-Chair of the Firm’s Higher Education and Academic Research Practice Group and Co-Chair of the Government Solutions and Investigations Practice Group. She brings to her practice a unique background as a former state court trial judge, federal prosecutor, and civil litigator. She regularly helps clients navigate high-stakes problems such as responding to government subpoenas, search warrants, and investigative demands.
