Dorsey Partner Edward Loya has been elected to a three-year term as a Council Member of the State Bar of Texas Hispanic Lawyers Section Council. The election took place on June 19th during the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting.

The Hispanic Lawyers Section studies and reports on laws, judicial decisions, and government regulations that impact the Hispanic community in Texas. The Hispanic Lawyers Section creates a forum for members of the profession to celebrate and safeguard the constitutional rights of the Hispanic community.

Edward said, “Hispanics comprise the largest portion of Texas’s dynamic population. I am proud of the work we have been doing in Dallas to advance the Hispanic community in North Texas. I look forward to contributing leadership and ideas on a state-wide level so that we can continue this positive momentum.”

Edward is a litigation partner and serves as Head of the Firm’s Dallas Trial Practice Group. He is an accomplished trial attorney who has represented companies and executives across many industries and in different forums including federal and state courts and arbitration tribunals. An experienced white-collar defense attorney, he also regularly represents companies and individuals in criminal and civil white-collar investigations and government enforcement actions.
