International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Rebecca J. Bernhard has joined the Firm’s Minneapolis office as an Of Counsel attorney in the Labor & Employment Group. Ms. Bernhard’s practice focuses on counseling employers on all aspects of the employment relationship, including labor and employment law, employment advice in corporate and other transactional settings, Federal contract compliance and audits and other regulatory compliance.

Ms. Bernhard joins Dorsey from Educational Credit Management Corporation, an ECMC Group Company, where she served from 2011 to 2014 as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Associate General Counsel, and from 2010 to 2011 as Senior Attorney, Employment. Before that, she was an associate and senior associate attorney in the labor and employment practice group of Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly, LLP, where she was recognized as an “Up & Coming Attorney” in 2010 by Minnesota Lawyer.

Ms. Bernhard has a J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif, and a B.S.S. degree in Labor Studies from San Francisco State University.
