International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Lynnette Slater Crandall has been named to Finance & Commerce’s 50 Top Women in Finance. Ms. Crandall is a Partner in Dorsey’s Public Finance and Legislative practice groups and Chair of the Political Law Group. Her public finance practice focuses on work as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, issuer’s counsel and borrower’s counsel in a broad range of traditional state and municipal financings, industrial development financings, health care financings, and economic development financings. Her legislative practice includes advocacy for a wide variety of clients in regulatory and legislative matters with state agencies, the courts, and the Minnesota Legislature.

The 2013 Top Women in Finance award recognizes the outstanding efforts of women who are making notable contributions to their professions, their communities and society at large. This is the 13th year Finance & Commerce has honored women who are making outstanding contributions to their professions and communities in the state.

“This is a much deserved recognition for Lynnette who has been at the center of some of the most innovative public-private developments in the region, including the Destination Medical Center project in Rochester,” noted Dorsey Managing Partner Ken Cutler. “Dorsey is regularly identified as one of the best law firms for women, and it is gratifying to see another of our women partners recognized for being at the absolute top of her field.”

This year’s honorees will be recognized November 21, 2013, at a dinner and awards presentation at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis.
