Joseph Hall Joins Firm as Partner

International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Joseph Hall has joined the Regulatory Affairs group in the Firm’s Washington, DC office as a Partner. Mr. Hall’s practice focuses on the electric utility industry, with an emphasis on utility regulation and industry participant responses to competition before administrative agencies and reviewing federal and state courts. He has a broad background in open access policies, generator interconnection, electric utility infrastructure development, renewable power initiatives, market power issues and investigations, utility mergers and acquisitions, affiliate transactions, negotiation of power contracts, and wholesale power and transmission rates and services.

Mr. Hall represents electric utility industry clients in the areas of ratemaking, mergers and industry restructuring, and FERC investigations. He also advises industry clients on issues related to the development of regional transmission organizations, regional markets, and reliability requirements. Mr. Hall was previously with Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP in their Washington DC office.
