Sue Progoff Joins Firm as Partner

International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Sue Progoff has joined the Trial Group in the Firm’s New York office as a Partner. Ms. Progoff’s practice focuses on the areas of trademark, copyright, false advertising, unfair competition and internet issues, including litigation, oppositions, cancellations and other enforcement and contested matters; developing anti-counterfeiting programs and anti-counterfeiting enforcement; providing strategic advice concerning the creation and building of brands, including trademark clearance, counseling and prosecution; and trademark and copyright licensing and transactional work in the United States and internationally. Ms. Progoff has represented clients in a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, fashion, jewelry and accessories, cosmetics, toys, consumer products, media, entertainment and sports, financial services, e-commerce, automotive, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and healthcare, computer hardware and software, Internet services and legal services.

Ms. Progoff joins Dorsey from Ropes & Gray where she was a partner and co-chair of the trademark practice group. She received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.S. in Zoology from the University of Florida and a J.D. (1979) from the University of Pittsburgh.
